Writer John Akuratere (1876-1937) house was built in early 30s
Pārdaugavā opposite Mara pond. It kept Old Masters paintings by N.
Strunkes meta darināto fireplace, and the specific atmosphere in which
there was in this house, welcoming Ubans K., K. Skalbe, Z. Lawn and
other writers, artists, composers diplomats and public figures. Since
1991, J. Akuratere house open to visitors. Regularly held shares in
modern art, the museum has become the new poets, musicians and artists
in the muster. Offers speakers on various topics.
