Apsauju Lake occupies an area of 20ha and You can swim and of course the catch in lake. The average lake depth of 3.5 m, but reaches even the deepest at 6.2 m.
Lake dwelling several species of fish: perch, pike, tench, bream, bream, roach, rudd, burbot, eel.
Apsauju Lake is a public lake, and You may catch by respecting Regulation fishing in Latvian territory.
Through the lake from north to south flows Bikstupe joining Apsauju lake with Dambjakroga lake.
