Bauska Castle placed a picturesque place of flies and Memel catchment.
Castle consists from midle of 15.century fortress built by the Livonian Order,
end 16.century place of residence of the Duke of Courland. Part of Residence -
Exhibition "The history of Bauska Castle", the thematic exhibition -
"Costume jewelry and the Duchy of Courland (1562-1620)", "Bauska castle
- a military fortification. Fortress ruins open for viewing. The
central tower overlooking the area. Behind the castle visitors can walk
in the park, its western end, crossing a small canal, can go to Musa
and Memel catchment, Kurzeme taken at the confluence of river water was
considered curative. Guide services in Latvian, English, Russian
languages to be ordered in advance.
