Bebrenes castle construction began at the end of the 19th century Earl S. K. Plāters-Zībergs. Construction was completed in 1896. The castle buildings are designed by the significant Polish - Italian artists and architects represented the family architect L. J. L. Marconi. The castle was built in French style neorenesances.
Unfortunately, in the 1960s the building slightly changed. Penthouse floor of the castle was built at the third floor.
Bebrenes palace complex is located in the park, which is one of the most expressive English-style landscape gardens Latvian. The park is growing around the 200-year-old oaks, and since 1957 is a park cultural monument of national importance.
